The Players Lab provides tennis coaching services to adult and junior players in the Seattle area, including but not limited to:

• Private lessons (1-on-1 coaching)
• Small-group sessions (2–6 players)
• Team training and USTA group sessions (7+ players)
• Newsletters, communications, and program updates delivered by email and/or SMS

Coaching philosophy, format details, and rates are described on our website. We reserve the right to update services, pricing, and program formats at any time.

• Booking. Lessons and programs are scheduled by direct communication with Coach Nick (email, text, or in person). A booking is confirmed when both parties agree on a date, time, and format in writing.
• Payment. Payment is due at or before the time of the lesson unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods are communicated at the time of booking.
• Rates. Posted rates reflect coaching fees only. Court reservation fees, when required, are handled separately as described on the rates section of our website.
• Packages. Pre-paid lesson packages, when offered, are valid for the timeframe stated at the time of purchase.

• 24-Hour Notice. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are not charged and can be rescheduled at no cost.
• Late Cancellations & No-Shows. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, and no-shows, are billed at the full session rate.
• Weather & Court Closures. If a lesson is canceled due to weather, court closure, or other circumstances outside the Player's control, the lesson will be rescheduled at no charge or, at the Player's option, refunded.
• Coach Cancellations. If Coach Nick cancels a lesson for any reason, the Player will be offered a reschedule or a full refund of that session.
• Single-Session Refunds. Single lessons are non-refundable once the 24-hour window has passed, except as described above.
• Package Refunds. Pre-paid packages are refundable for any unused sessions, prorated against the original package price. Used sessions are non-refundable.
• Group & Team Refunds. Refund and credit policies for small-group classes, clinics, and USTA team programs are communicated at the time of registration and may differ from the policies above due to court reservation and group enrollment commitments.

Tennis is a physical activity that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strains, sprains, fractures, falls, contact with balls or equipment, heat-related illness, and other injuries. By participating in any lesson, clinic, program, or activity provided by The Players Lab, you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume them.

You represent that you are in good physical condition and have no medical conditions that would prevent safe participation. You are responsible for consulting a physician before beginning any new physical activity.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and discharge The Players Lab, Coach Nick, and any affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to your participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

For minor participants, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on the minor's behalf.

You agree to participate in good faith, treat coaches and fellow players with respect, follow safety instructions, and comply with the rules of any facility where lessons take place. The Players Lab reserves the right to refuse or terminate services for conduct that is unsafe, disrespectful, or disruptive to other players, with refund handled at our reasonable discretion.

If you opt in to text messages from The Players Lab, the following terms apply:

• Two Programs. We operate two separate SMS programs: a marketing program (coaching updates, newsletters, event announcements) and a transactional program (appointment reminders and scheduling updates). Opt-in is required separately for each, by checking the corresponding box on our signup form. Consent to either program is not a condition of any purchase.
• Message Frequency. Message frequency varies based on program activity, scheduling, and announcements.
• Message and Data Rates. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
• Opt-Out. Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages of that type.
• Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at coachnick@theplayerslab.com.
• Supported Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Privacy. Your phone number is never sold or shared. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is collected, used, and stored.

By providing your email address, you may receive communications from The Players Lab including newsletters, coaching insights, and program updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.

All content on The Players Lab website, newsletters, and coaching materials — including text, images, branding, video, written frameworks (such as "The Laws"), and methodology — is the intellectual property of Coach Nick and The Players Lab. You may not reproduce, distribute, resell, or use this content for commercial purposes without prior written permission. Personal, non-commercial use for your own training is permitted and encouraged.

From time to time, lessons, clinics, or events may be photographed or recorded for instructional, promotional, or social media purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify Coach Nick in advance and we will accommodate that request.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Players Lab's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific lesson or program giving rise to the claim. In no event will The Players Lab be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Players Lab and Coach Nick from any third-party claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your participation in lessons or programs.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or our services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

The parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith direct communication before pursuing formal action.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on our website and, where appropriate, by email or text. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
